Three cheers for Dr. William Schroer, his partners at St. Louis Distillery, and colleagues at SSM Health DePaul Hospital. An orthopedic surgeon, Schroer and his partners retooled their boutique distillery to produce hand sanitizer for senior living facilities and first responders. He rallied his teammates at DePaul to bottle and box the product. Sort of like making lemonade when life gives you lemons.
