Terrain magazine editor Brad Kovach gave me the privilege of writing about the best endurance/adventure athletes for the Fall 2015 issue of the magazine. Check out the story here.
As always, the most rewarding part of the process was interviewing the seven athletes, whose interests off the mountain, stream, road or beaten path are just as interesting as their athletic achievements. Mountain biker Aaron Fanetti, for example, is a vice president. Cyclocross maven Sunny Gilbert earned a Ph. D. Triathlete Austin Hindman is an Eagle scout. Adventure racer Emily Korsch has an engineering degree.
